Mummy Hot Dogs

  • Author: Ashley
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 hot dogs (your choice: beef, turkey, or veggie)
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Mustard or ketchup (for eyes)
  • Optional: cheese slices (for an extra cheesy version)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into thin strips (about 1/4 inch wide) to create the “bandages.”
  • Wrap the Hot Dogs: Take a hot dog and wrap it with the dough strips, leaving a small gap at the top for the “face.” Be creative with the wrapping to give each mummy a unique look.
  • Optional Cheese: If you’re adding cheese, you can place a slice of cheese inside the wrapping before covering it with the dough.
  • Bake the Mummies: Place the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
  • Add the Eyes: Once baked, let the mummies cool slightly. Use mustard or ketchup to dot eyes on the exposed parts of the hot dogs.
  • Serve: Arrange the Mummy Hot Dogs on a platter and serve with your favorite dipping sauces!
