- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (or your choice of toppings)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Olive slices or peppercorns (for eyes)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into thin strips (about 1/4 inch wide) to create the “bandages.”
- Assemble the Pizza Bites: On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place a spoonful of pizza sauce on the wide end of each triangle. Top with a small amount of mozzarella cheese and a few pieces of pepperoni or your chosen toppings.
- Wrap the Dough: Take the narrow end of the triangle and wrap it over the filling to form a small bundle. Use the strips of dough to create a “mummy” look by wrapping them around the bites, leaving small gaps for the eyes.
- Add the Eyes: Once wrapped, place olive slices or peppercorns in the gaps to create eyes.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
